Cultural Matching Fund Top-Up

Established in 2014, the Cultural Matching Fund (CMF) is one of the several schemes introduced by the Government to support the arts and heritage sector. It serves to foster a broad-based climate of giving by encouraging private donations to Singapore's arts and heritage sector, and to strengthen the sustainability of arts and heritage charities by incentivising them to diversify their income streams via fundraising. Arts and heritage charities and Institutions of Public Character are eligible to apply for CMF.
Since its setup, over $400 million in CMF matching grants have been disbursed to arts and heritage charities.
At Budget 2025 and as part of SG60, MOF announced that the CMF would be topped up by $100 million and extended to FY2029. This will continue to encourage giving to the arts and heritage sector.
For more details on CMF, please refer to www.mccy.gov.sg/sector/policies/cultural-matching-fund. Queries can be submitted to the CMF Secretariat at cmf@nac.gov.sg.
